CoreChoice Partners with AIM Specialty Health to Drive Quality and Affordability in Healthcare

New York, NY, June 28, 2012

CoreChoice, Inc. the nations leading specialty network for diagnostic radiology, neurodiagnostic testing, and interventional pain management today announced a new partnership aimed at increasing consumer access to high quality and low cost specialty care services across the country.

Working with AIM Specialty Health, a leading specialty benefit management company, CoreChoice will offer providers in its network access to OptiNet, an online tool that they can use to provide key information about their facilities including quality measures, licensure, accreditation, equipment standards and cost of services. This will give AIM access to A-rated imaging facilities across all 50 states. Leveraging its Specialty Care Shopper Program, a concierge service that provides active member outreach for cost and quality transparency, AIM will be able to direct consumers to these facilities.

With over 22,000 radiology providers in the CoreChoice network, the partnership will result in one of the nations largest networks of affordable, high quality providers – offering consumers an unprecedented opportunity to compare service providers across the country based on key quality & capabilities indicators, and select the best value according to their health benefits and preferences.

Today, consumers have access to all of the information they need to effectively shop for hotels, automobiles and just about anything else except healthcare services, said Kevin McDermott, VP of Provider and Consumer Programs at AIM. OptiNet provides that same kind of information on capabilities and cost for specialty care services so that health plans, providers and members can shop for the best care and at the best price.

CoreChoice maintains a comprehensive network of free standing facilities in all 50 states, the District of Colombia and Puerto Rico, offering insurers pre-negotiated contract rates for radiology services, including both open and closed Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Scans, Computerized Axial Tomography (CT) Scans, Mammography, Sonography, X-Ray, Nuclear Medicine, Bone Density, and Positron Emission Tomography (PET/CT).

Through our network, CoreChoice is uniquely positioned to help health insurers from all sectors provide high quality and affordable care to their members, said Steven Gass, CEO of CoreChoice. And by leveraging AIMs OptiNet tool, our providers will increase their visibility among consumers, making it easier for them to get the care they need at a cost they can afford.
